Last night my wife and I were reminiscing about old concerts and how absolutely trusting we were of complete strangers.
Crowd surfing is a ridiculous concept. It’s an incredible feeling, but the idea is absurd.
All it takes is one person to not participate, and you drop to the ground — the consequences of which are dire.
Yet we trusted everyone, and nothing went wrong. Because everyone was there for each other.
That’s one of those curious things about us as humans. People from all walks of life will get together over music. And they’ll take care of everyone around them for a few precious hours, without question.
There was never any second-guessing it. You went up, and put your life in the literal hands of strangers. And they took care of you.
We all have it in us, it’s our nature. Why do we not see it play out in the rest of the world?
