There are so many productivity hacks these days. Focus apps, website blockers, to-do lists, second brains, task blocks…
They’re all designed to either make us more productive or assist us in our productivity.
And while they help, their efficacy is tied to how much effort you’re willing to give.
The most effective productivity hack is the simplest.
Show up. Do the work.
Sometimes it’s tough. You’re tired, you have prior commitments, emails to respond to, groceries to get, and laundry to do. Maybe you had a little too much wine last night. You’re exhausted — physically and mentally.
We all have off days. I’ve been there, so many times. And still do regularly.
But regardless of how you feel. Tackling your work for just 5, 10 or 20 minutes, is better than putting it off.
Not every grind needs hours of your time.
It’s surprising how simply committing to that first few minutes can result in some of your best work.
Show up.
Do the work.
