I’m not a fan of waking up at 4:30, but sometimes it’s worth it.
At this latitude, at this time of year, dawn happens early.
If I leave home early enough, I can catch the sun’s first rays as they light the skyline while the fog rises from the river valley.
What makes this such a magical experience is the lack of anything else.
While most of the city still sleeps, there’s no noise, no traffic, no people.
Nature punctuated by modernity — without the madness.
Tranquility on the edge of chaos.
