Questioning Belief

If you have a strong belief in something, spend a few minutes researching the opposing view.

So much of our time is spent in an echo chamber. Who we work with, who we follow on social media, our friends — they generally tend to share our beliefs and values.

We’re only seeing one side of every situation. Yet we often believe wholeheartedly that our side is correct.

The beliefs of the other side are equally as strong.

Both can’t be right. Nor can they both be wrong.

The truth is almost always somewhere in between.

And the only way we can truly learn is by embracing the discomfort that comes with questioning our beliefs.
