Committing to a daily writing habit seems simple enough. That is until I tried it.
I often find myself forcing things for the sake of getting words on the page and end up writing run-on sentences just to reach my self-dictated word count.
Most days I have a thought that I can follow and make something out of.
On other days, I’m exhausted. The creative juices aren’t flowing.
I stare at the screen blankly and slap the keys haphazardly with my fingers.
And sometimes it’s enough to snap me into a place where, ever so temporarily, I feel the urge to keep typing.
But not tonight.
Tonight I rest.
