Nine

I’ve nearly completed my ninth month of daily posting on this website.

And while I will continue through to the end of the year, I’m not sure if I will continue in January.

This summer has been busy, and my schedule is more chaotic than normal. The pressure to get a post out daily often threw a wrench in the gears. Either I had to procrastinate on another task or sacrifice sleep in order to get something written.

On top of that, I feel that a lot of the things I’ve written were served half-baked.

In the past, my style has been more long-form. I take several days, even weeks, to get an article out. I like being sure that my point is clear.

This is often impossible when posting daily.

If I go this route, it doesn’t mean that I won’t write daily. This is a habit that I feel will stick. But I believe that removing the pressure of publishing daily will allow me to do better work overall.

The last few days I’ve felt overwhelmed and underslept. This could just be the exhaustion speaking.

For now, I’m incredibly proud of my consistency on this blog over the last nine months.

We will see what January brings.
