Ikea Logic

I visited Ikea the other day and noticed something peculiar.

The lot was about half full when I arrived. But the strange part is that the majority of cars were parked close to the entrance.

At most businesses, where the entrance and exit are the same, it makes sense. But with Ikea, the exit is some distance away.

Why would so many people give themselves the convenience of a short walk while empty-handed, only to have a longer struggle with a cart full of boxes on their way out?

At Ikea — unless you’re popping in for food — the most logical place to park is near the exit.

I found this incredibly odd.

But I’m not complaining, I ended up with front-row exit door parking.
