Getting Dumber, Smartly

With nearly every book I read, I find myself in an internal conflict.

The information I take in is educating me, making me more knowledgeable in a specific area. Sometimes mind-blowingly, other times subtle. But slightly smarter overall.

At the same time, I feel as though it’s only the tip of an information iceberg. And the more I experience this, the more I realize the vastness of it all.

The more I know, the more I understand just how little I know.

It’s a strange feeling. The more educated I become, the more I learn how massive the big picture truly is, and the more I realize how ignorant I am of it.

And that the more I learn, the more I try to understand, the more rabbit holes I will uncover.

It’s humbling, exhilarating — and incredibly rewarding.
