I enjoyed a moment of clarity this morning in the midst of frustration.

Due to circumstances outside my control, a choice between two very positive experiences must be made. Though not coinciding, I cannot take part in both. Choosing one means forfeiting the other.

In another time this choice would not be so, yet here I am.

Yet in my frustration and self pity it suddenly occurred to me that in reality this unfortunate choice is a glimpse at incredible fortune.

How incredible it is when we are faced with such trouble; of deciding between two positives when having just one would be better than none.
