Early adopters are the people who stand in line for hours for the newest phone. They’re often the ones that push new tech forward in the mainstream.
Though as much of a technology enthusiast as I am — I’m not an early adopter.
I want to be the one with the newest tech in my pocket, but I don’t want to be the one to deal with all of the problems.
The problem with early adoption is that you’re going to get bugs.
The newest iPhone, for example, is full of faulty software and issues with the newest operating system. And for something approaching $2000, this is unacceptable to me. I’m willing to wait a while, until Apple can sort out these issues and drop the price a little.
I like to be near the front of the pack when it comes to these sorts of things. But I don’t want my experience to be handicapped by the inevitable issues that come with the first iteration of a major upgrade.
Round two is good enough for me.
