Avoidance

I’m usually pretty good at taking breaks. I’ve burnt out enough times to see when it’s on the horizon.

That said, I still catch myself pushing my limits — sometimes for the wrong reason.

I think this applies to a lot of people.

In this busy world, knowing when to stop and catch your breath is a skill.

And with any skill, few are masters. Sometimes we keep busy for the wrong reasons. Staying busy is a good way to distract ourselves from the realities of life.

Work excuses us from feeling. Even with burnout on the horizon, we’d rather crash tomorrow than suffer today.

Procrastination is pacification.

But procrastination under the guise of productivity won’t last.

Ultimately, suffering is unavoidable.
