I haven’t posted in a few days. I didn’t even write.
It felt strange. But I needed it.
For an entire year, I challenged myself to publish daily. When that year ended, I told myself that publishing wasn’t necessary — that daily writing was key.
But I couldn’t separate the two. Finishing the work and going live became synonymous with the writing process. I want to get back to writing longer articles, ones where I can clarify my thoughts over days or weeks.
Daily posting has benefits, but it also dilutes my content. Articles often lack depth, they get repetitive and even boring at times. And that is a disservice to you, the reader.
So I forced myself to take a rest, to get comfortable breaking the habit.
As I said at the start of this year, if I have something to say each day, I will share it. If not, something better will surely be along in a few days.
