‘Tis the season.
Things are good this time of year. Moods are elevated. There’s a lot of happiness that comes with the Christmas season. A lot of people get a break from work, we can spend time with our loved ones, and take a moment to pause and relax.
But it’s easy to take this for granted.
Not everyone has such luxury — because that’s what it is. Many people don’t have the connections, the network of friends that many of us consider normal. Whether they’re far from home or have lost those close to them, while most people celebrate this time of year, others feel an unfathomable emptiness.
Reach out to your friends. Hug them. Tell your loved ones that you love them, remind them that they matter.
The simplest action can change a life — especially when someone is struggling in silence.
