Who cuts the grass at golf courses? More importantly, when do people cut the grass?
My wife brought this up tonight, and it’s messing with my head.
For context, our apartment overlooks a golf course. We’re on the 13th floor, and the course itself is down in a valley. Aside from a few spots where trees block our view, we can see most of it.
In the 4+ years we’ve lived here, neither of us can recall seeing anyone cutting the grass.
There are many evenings when I’m up late. Midnight is normal, 1 a.m. is not uncommon, sometimes it’s later. On work days, I’m typically up before 4. This doesn’t leave much of a window for such work to be done without me noticing it.
And even if we aren’t actively watching, we’d certainly hear it. There’s a lot of grass on an 18-hole course. If everything is done in that brief window in the middle of the night, it would absolutely require a small army of workers, would it not?
What sorcery is at play here?
