Freelancing is an interesting gig. The reality is that it’s more of a collection of gigs.
Considering the different jobs I’ve had and the paths I’ve taken, I talk about wearing many hats. But this entire concept is concentrated when working as a freelancer.
You’re running a business with all of the same tasks and problems that arise in any other business. But you’re doing them alone.
On top of providing your primary service, you also play every other role. You’re the accountant, receptionist, marketer, content creator, project manager and personal assistant.
It’s a fascinating education in business that is both humbling and powerfully rewarding.
Countless mistakes will be made. And countless rewards will follow.
Freelancing is not for the faint of heart.
But it can be pretty fun.
