Elon Musk is a polarizing figure. But the Tesla Cybertruck is something different. In a strange way, it’s uniting the poles of the political spectrum — albeit for different reasons.
The right hates it because it’s an electric vehicle.
The left hates it because it comes from Elon.
Yet there are plenty of people buying them. Who is this third element? I’m not sure that can be easily defined. But it’s something different, something acting without politics.
And while I’m not a fan of the truck personally, I like that this is happening. In a world where everything seems to be politicized somehow, it’s nice to see something happen without.
