Disjointed

My website is down and it’s my fault. Due to my procrastination, I didn’t renew my SSL certificate in time and most web browsers won’t load the website. I can’t even get into the back end myself to share this post. Not from my computer at least.

Thankfully, I have an app on my phone. I can’t use it to make changes to the website itself, but basic functionality exists — such as publishing a simple blog post.

I’m in my 11th month of daily posting and aside from a handful of hiccups, I’ve stayed consistent. Yet even as my website is currently unavailable to most of the world, I am able to stay on course.

I grew up in a world without smartphones. No future generation can say this.

And even though the technology is relatively recent, I can’t imagine existing in a world without a computer in my pocket. This idea both fascinates and terrifies me.

I realize that this is a bit of a disjointed rant spurred by a broken website, but it made me pause and acknowledge how incredible it is to be alive right now.
