It’s happening. And it seems to have occurred in a few short days.

The leaves shift from vibrant green to a stunning display of yellows and oranges. Autumn is here. Summer is over once more. And although the scene outside is incredible, it’s a reminder of what will follow.

I’m getting ahead of myself, of course. Last year the weather remained mild for many weeks from this point. We rode our bikes on dry trails into December.

Will that be the case again? It’s impossible to say.

Regardless, it’s coming.

But like with everything else, it will pass.

So rather than complain about the winter to come, I will sit on my balcony and enjoy nature’s display.
