Showers

There are generally two camps: Those who shower in the morning, and those who shower in the evening.

I’m in the third, and I can’t imagine having only one. And it’s because I know what it’s like to not.

The longest I’ve gone without a hot shower was six weeks while backpacking in Asia many years ago. Later, while living in a car in Australia, I went two weeks without showering at all — though, in fairness, I swam in the ocean a few times.

Still, since those experiences, I don’t mess around when it comes to showering. Whether it’s necessary or not is irrelevant. To me, the simple act of showering is often more than just bathing; it’s an overlooked luxury that is taken wildly for granted.
