I usually try to get ahead with these posts and write a few extra when I have the time. This was something I picked up from Seth Godin and his daily blog practice. Make sure to have a few ready for the inevitable days when you’re too busy or sick or whatever else to sit down and write.
I’ve been pretty good with it. But I’ve also slacked a few too many times. My bank is running dangerously low and I don’t want to break my safety threshold.
Most of these remaining drafts have remained so due to their content. Nothing bad, mind you. Just topics that have never felt right at the time I needed something to publish.
So this is a reminder to myself to find a few hours to sit down and blast out a few fresh posts to restock the backlog.
Daily posting is easy.
Daily writing not so much.
