Over the last few weeks I’ve been playing around with the MidJourney AI.

If you spend any time on social media these days I’m sure you’ve seen the latest trend of images generated by artificial intelligences like DALL-E and MidJourney.

These are some of the most advanced AI systems available to the public — and they’re fascinating.

Honestly, calling them ‘systems’ feels odd. I’m not sure how to describe them. Programs, algorithms, bots… these words don’t quite convey exactly what we’re dealing with here. And ‘Artificial Intelligence’ seems almost too broad a term.

Quite simply, what I’ve seen created from these AIs are a mere glimpse into an incredible future we can’t yet comprehend.

Everything you’ll see below has been created by this system — this intelligence — based on inputs and suggestions I’ve given it. From the bizarre to the near-photorealistic. These images are generated by the combination of a computer algorithm and my own creative inputs.

Over the last few weeks I’ve sent hundreds of suggestions that have ranged from simple and ordinary to wild and otherworldly.

Occasionally I follow a theme.
