Older generations pride themselves in putting in the hard work so their kids can live better lives than they did.
Yet, when those kids live a lifestyle that strays from that of their parents, the elders often criticize them.
It’s a catch-22.
If children lived the lives the parents know and understand, the work they put in to give them new opportunities seems in vain.
Change is inevitable. Every new generation is the most progressive in history. The same can be said for those that lived 100 years ago.
We don’t have to like change — but we must accept it.
