After the long and miserable Canadian winter, it’s easy to be impressed with the simplest sensations. I sat on a bench across from my building the other evening as the sunset. The warmth of the rays blanketed me in a feeling of deep appreciation.
For a good part of the year, this isn’t done easily. At least not comfortably. And not without several layers of heavy clothing.
Such a simple act, though hardly an action at all. It’s just sitting, yet it feels so good.
I’m looking forward to the coming months.
