2025

2025 was an interesting one.

Looking back at photos from the last 12 months, this was a pretty good year. I travelled to new places, spent time with cherished friends, and enjoyed incredible food. My wife and I did the best biking of our lives — exponentially better than any other year. I swam at a tropical beach, and two days later rode a motorcycle through the clouds on a mountain.

I ran a half-marathon with two great friends, something I probably wouldn’t have ever achieved without their support. In all, I ran nearly 600km in 2025.

However, we don’t typically photograph the bad times. Even in good moments, I sometimes found myself lost in mental chaos. I spent more time than I would have liked struggling in silence, as most of us do. There was a lot of darkness.

But this year wasn’t so bad. I developed incredible new friendships with amazing humans. Some of these led to conversations that changed my mind, shifted my perspective on things, and pulled me from dark places.

And just last week, when I woke up on Boxing Day, I hit a strange and abnormal milestone: I was older than my dad was when he died.

This year has been a wild ride. Mentally, emotionally and experientially.

And now it’s time to keep moving forward.

Wishing you all the best for 2026. May this be the best year of your life.

Happy New Year!
